The Transition of a Trade Association's Web Platform

Executed transition of an association’s web platform from ColdFusion to WordPress by guiding and producing all content throughout the web development product cycle by developing a responsive WordPress theme and building out over 150-pages of content. Key Highlights include:

  • Researching target audience, site load, previous site analytics, back-end integration, functionality needs, and selecting appropriate technology stack.
  • Creating and managing project production in collaboration with sprint planning.
  • Briefing stakeholders (including the CEO and COO) on delivery milestones through weekly demos and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Designing and producing all deliverables, which included: sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mocks, prototypes, graphics, copy, and other content.
  • Implementing strategies to collect, review, and edit copy and content from a 10-person team. Applied principles of Information architecture to all content to increase usability and function.
  • Developing a WordPress theme and building out over 150-pages of content within the specifications for different desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Collaborating with external vendors to integrate front-end to back-end member database.
  • Managing migration and hosting by deploying website on AWS Cloud Servers.
